Noir du’Soleil are a Dark Elektro group from Perth, Western Australia who seamlessly blend the styles of Japanese Visual Kei, European Harsh Electro, and British Post-Punk to create what is one of the few truly fresh sounds in the modern Industrial/Gothic scene.
Hailing from the most isolated captial city on the Earth their individuality is extraordinary. In an era where image is often unembellished, Noir du’Soleil take a firm stance of defiance, presenting their art as a total aural and visual attack.
Created by Koe (all music and vocals) in 2007 Noir du’Soleil show amazing maturity for such a new project. They began their live activities in 2008 supporting Australian Cyber-Punks Angelspit and Japanese Industrial-Metal giants BAAL. To aid their live performance Eris (live electronic manipulation and samples) joined as an official member.
Their 1st album ~Into The Sky~ was self-released in July 2008 (hand numbered and sold in an ornate fabric package) and sold out within a month. January 2009 saw a «Deluxe Edition» re-release of the album on Japanese Gothic/Visual Kei label Darkest Labyrinth. This new version contains the previously unreleased harsh club track «Broken Arms» as well as remixes from artists as diverse as Italy’s EBM force XP8, Japan’s most well known Gothic/Industrial group BLOOD, and Australia’s Dark Ambient technician Nimheil.
Noir du’Soleil’s popularity is clearly rising as the launch party for «~Into The Sky~ Deluxe Edition» drew a crowd of over 350, making it one of the all-time largest Gothic/Industrial events in their city. Their new album is making waves in the dark alternative press, and moving bodies on dance floors all across the globe.
